The Logical Framework Approach (LFA) had its beginnings in the international development domain in the 1960's. As project management grew as a profession, so did the adoption of the LFA. Government and private sector projects increasingly strategically aligned and planned projects using LFA. The logical approach to planning was adapted and has served as the basis for a wide range of methodologies and models that help bring value to current endeavors and undertakings. This presentation will introduce the LFA and characterize its evolution as a way of working.
